Howies food is a celebration of Scotland’s natural larder and local producers. We know our suppliers personally so you can rest assured Howies sources, cooks and serves only the very best seasonal food that Scotland has to offer.

All our food is cooked fresh to order. We also bake own bread daily which is a delight and very hard to resist.

Our menus include daily specials and our menus change seasonally, with Howies all time favourites such as haggis, Cullen skink and banoffee pie always on the list.

We offer a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes and our chefs do their best to accommodate any dietary requirements. All potential allergens are marked clearly on our menus and we welcome any information if you have specific allergies or concerns.

Children are welcome, high chairs and changing areas available and we have a short but delicious menu designed especially for the young ‘uns.

Celebrating and supporting small independent producers we stock many brands unique to this area including Stewarts craft beer, Thistly Cross Cider from East Lothian, Edinburgh Gin and Arbikie vodka amongst others.
